Generously sized and expertly applied, the use of our Smartech Tilt Wall in this Hawthorn residence proved the perfect fit. Making the most of this large aperture that enjoys a stunning view of the property’s backyard, glass stretches across the entire opening to create a dramatic feature that is sure to get house guests talking!

Taking shape as part of a modern renovation of the existing building, the Hawthorn home’s design enjoyed a contemporary reimagining. The floorplan included a nod to the outdoors by orienting the dining area to cleverly maximise outlook. To celebrate its significant position, the room required a wall solution that would display the lush garden in full view while enjoying a meal and provide easy access to open out to the alfresco space. This is where Smartech answered the call with our innovative Tilt Wall.

Satisfying both requirements while presenting an elegant aesthetic, our Smartech Tilt Wall effortlessly elevated the dining space. While it offered a simple solution to the design of the new room, the challenge of the job was working within the constraints of construction that had already begun prior to Smartech being engaged. Our engineers expertly overcame the tight job site by working with the builder to develop the ideal end result. The final design encompassed two robust Double Glazed panels – with each weighing a hefty 240kg! Smartech’s installation team meticulously had the glass lifted into the site by crane for fitting.
