Qualtrics Head Office

Boasting the title of the tallest office in Sydney, and the CBD’s tallest building, 1 Denison Street in North Sydney stands at 156m high and features a massive 60,000sqm of total gross floor area – making it a full 30m higher than the next tallest building.

Qualtrics, a leading international experience and online survey company, moved into level 14 of the tower. Qualtrics required an office space that would support and reflect their growing place in the technology industry. Smartech was approached to make this vision a reality.

Aspen Interiors worked with FDC and WMK Architecture to manufacture and install joinery and wall paneling over 2 floors in the newly constructed and technologically driven 1 Denison Street building in North Sydney. The fit-out features an industrial design-inspired bar, enlivened by Smartech’s Tilt Window.

Smartech was tasked with supplying a 4600 mm wide Tilt Window. However, it came with the challenge of needing to fit into a modest lift to be installed on level 14. Smartech’s expert engineers rose to the occasion, designing a knock-down format in order to transport the window to its final location. This demonstrates the almost unlimited installation locations that are possible with Smartech products. Our engineers can design solutions to be installed in existing buildings without the use of a crane or having to open the wall or roof of buildings. Instead, they can be created as a “knock-down kit” and transported into the building through doors or via lifts.

The result

The final space boasts multiple work zones, collaboration areas, large breakout rooms, boardrooms, kitchenettes, a bar, and a games area. With its industrial style and warm earthy finishes, the interior boasts stunning attention to detail, completed by Smartech’s Tilt Window. We are pleased this has resulted in a sophisticated and functional working environment for the Qualtrics team.
