House Rules – Channel 7

All of us here at Smartech were delighted to have our beautiful Tilt Door featured in Chanel 7’s House Rules.

For those of you not familiar with it, House Rules is a reality TV show which follows six couples from different Australian states as they renovate each other’s homes. The teams need to adhere to rules set out by the owners of the house they are renovating. They compete for the highest score and the ultimate prize.

“I want this!”

Wendy Moore, House Rules judge

Things heated up at Tim and Mat’s house as teams clashed around colour. The judges didn’t make it any easier. Considering colour is so subjective, it’s good to know Smartech is flexible. You can choose any colour for your door!

With plenty of ingenuity and smart choices required, Smartech’s Tilt Door came out on top and brought the outside in.

“This is really the way Australia wants to live.”

Jamie Durie, House Rules judge

It was a pleasure to watch our Tilt Door transform the whole space in the before and after reno scenes. And even more of a pleasure to watch Tim and Mat’s thrilled reactions;

“That’s probably the best thing I’ve ever seen!”

Tim, House Rules contestant

It was great to hear judges and contestants repeat what we have been hearing from our satisfied customers over the years.

“A massive Wow as soon as you walk in. Just beautiful!”

Katie, House Rules contestant

But most importantly, we anticipate how this transformed space will enrich the whole family.

Kula Beach Shack

Smartech installed our Tilt Windows into this Kula Beach House to create absolute flow between entertainment zones and their beautiful outdoors.

Importantly, our door systems are designed with corrosive spaces in mind. This makes them perfect for coastal areas such as Kula. Additionally, their effective seals and insulation ensure our systems are energy efficient. The owners were happy to make the responsible choice for themselves and the environment.

We assure architects and draftsmen of a perfect fit when you incorporate Smartech Door Systems into your new-build or renovation. And unlike other door styles that are notorious for jams, broken runners or sagging over time, both the Smartech Tilt Wall and Smartech Tilt Window systems rise up completely on vertical runners, resting in line with the ceiling. The products have no unnecessary technical features. This makes for a practical product, creating savings on building costs and minimising ongoing maintenance.

The owners chose our solid motorized system to smoothly operate their new tilt windows. The motor is compact and completely hidden from view within the structure itself.

Our Smartech Tilt Windows transformed this Kula Beach House, bringing it to a new level in indoor-outdoor living.

Leura Park Estate

The architecture of Leura Park tested the boundaries of building methods. The link between our contemporary glass tilt walls and the building façade is beautifully seamless. The Smartech tilt walls open up to a grassed area overlooking the vineyard, facillitating the use of the open area outside, and extending the building space where it can be used for private functions. The architect was seeking a point of difference for the Leura Park Estate and our innovative Tilt Wall was the right solution.

Jack Rabbit Winery

Jack Rabbit Winery chose to make the very most of its stunning surroundings when they installed our Tilt Wall at their cellar door.

Raising the whole wall instantly creates light and space. It warmly invites the customers in and simultaneously connects them with the beautiful vineyard outside. Clients and staff move freely inside and out, enjoying the natural airflow and all Jack Rabbit Winery has to offer.

Gosford City Council

Gosford City Council were seeking a unique look for their building as part of upgrade works to Ettalong beach. Smartech enabled the seamless link of open-plan entertaining by creating contemporary glass Tilt Walls which were designed to suit the Ettalong foreshore upgrade.

This venue now opens up to a scenic view of the bay, the beautiful island ahead and the flow of natural breezes from the beach. The walls lift up to allow customers and staff to move freely outside to enjoy the surroundings and all that the foreshore reserve offers. This Product, finished using a fully warrantied quality powder coat application, and designed to seal the openings when closed, has allowed the end users to appreciate the right product choice, which was made at an early planning stage.
